FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The age range for joining Macquarie Juniors is between 5 and 16 years old.

Registrations are completed online by going to playnrl.com.  This is for players, team staff & volunteers. The club finder will direct you to your local club's registration form. 

Each year players get issued with new playing socks and shorts. We alternate between Club Polos (odd years e.g. 2023, 2025) and Training Gear (even years e.g. 2024, 2026) 

Your current Club will need to approve your request, and this will be assessed by NSWRL. NSWRL have informed all Clubs that all transfers and clearance requests will not be processed before March 2024

The Macquarie Juniors season starts in May 2024 and ends in August. Preseason training will start when decided by the team's coach. Keep an eye on our socials for updates.

Once teams are finalised, coaches will notify the committee on their availability. Normally Internationals return early February and Juniors return late Feb/early March.  For the current training schedule please click here

We will make a decision as soon as possible. All information is posted to our social media and group chats, Please check there. 

We support & strongly recommend that players wear a mouthguard when participating in Rugby League during contact training and games. Custom-fitted mouthguards is the recommended & ideal form. Please consult your dentist.  You can find a link to the NRL's mouthguard policy here.  

Head gear is not compulsory. Players have the option of wearing and is an individual decision.   

It is a requirement that all volunteers have a valid NSW Working with Children Check before registering as a volunteer. Please click here to apply for a WWCC. 

 All course required to be a Coach, Trainer and other positions are listed on the NRL Learning Centre. To be a Coach or Trainer you must provide evidence of completed NRL Education.
